We told you the house was haunted…
Brother Carter Oswood stood up during chapter meeting a few weeks ago with a vision of scaring the piss out of the local Greek community. This past weekend his vision turned into reality when he rallied the chapter to put on Greek street’s first haunted house, supporting the Creative Visions charity.
Oswood, a life-long Halloween enthusiast, came back from Fall break with a car load of goodies which he used to transform 1236 34th st into a freaky fraternity house. Blood was splattered on walls, fake scars and wounds were applied, and fake guts were bountiful as guests traversed the basement, first floor, and second floor while ghosts and zombies jumped out to deliver screams heard throughout the night. At only $5 per person, many found it so enjoyable they went through multiple times. After the two nights of haunting were completed, over $500 dollars had been raised.
Oswood hopes to do it even bigger and better next year. He has already talked about how we can make improvements to draw in even bigger crowds. This event is still in its infancy but Oswood hopes it will turn into a FIJI tradition to carry on for many years. Heck, dressing up as a zombie and scaring people for a good cause sure beats a highway cleanup any day. Be sure to ask Carter all about his haunted house at our upcoming PIG Dinner (November 5th)!
Perge!
